What are Most Singers Missing?

Often times singers or people looking to learn to sing view vocalists as "Golden Children or The Chosen Few."

99% of people believe that this is a talent you must be born with or you could not obtain singing success.

This is simply not true.

While it is true that some are "more gifted" than others, we all can learn to sing.

So then what are most singers missing?

#1 Confidence. While some ego driven singers have more confidence than they should have ha ha, most singers need to recognize and see the vision for their voice and work on their craft with correct training to get them to where they need to be so they stop second-guessing themselves. I have a slogan here at KTVA, "a singer is only a singer because they have the guts to be one."

#2 Passion in the voice. In today's climate of singing, most vocalists are preoccupied with singing high notes and riffs when they should be more concerned about tonal quality, pitch and delivering passionate emotion about the story in the song they are singing.

#3 The "reason" for singing. Again in much of today's singing culture, many vocalists sing only because they want to be noticed (fame). Rather than a true expression of pouring out your heart and soul with a view towards inspiring others.

These are just a couple of things that most singers are missing.
