“Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” was apparently inspired by a Barbara Walters TV interview with Barbara Streisand and James Brolin when Brolin said he missed Streisand when she was asleep.

The song went on to become Aerosmith’s first and only number one single in the US and introduced the band to a new generation.
