What Makes This Singer Great? Daryl Hall
Daryl Hall was most well known as half of the soulful combo of Hall & Oates and today we’ll dive into the many things that made Daryl great.
Hall has been regarded as one of the best soul singers of his generation and together with John Oates the duo produced numerous hits.
Known for his emotion and sensitivity, Daryl is also a talented keyboardist, guitar player, songwriter and producer.
I’ll be looking at a live performance of Daryl and in this special performance he teamed up with Smokey Robinson who certainly deserves his own video for what makes him great.
Smokey of course is known for both his time as part of the Motown group The Miracles and his stellar solo career that followed.
Together the two beautifully blend and synergize as they take on the famous Hall & Oates tune “Sara Smile”. I hope you all enjoy the video and please be sure to share what you thought made Daryl great in comments!
Also be sure to check out the version I did of "Sara Smile" here:
