Vocal Coach Reacts To Richard Marx | Hold On To The Nights | Live | Ken Tamplin
Richard Marx has always had a knack for chart topping singles.
Richard himself has the distinction of being the first solo artist to have his first 7 singles hit the top 5 on Billboard.
He's also an incredibly talented songwriter too and has written 14 number one singles for both himself and other artists.
Marx began writing songs as a teenager and at 17, he was connected to Lionel Richie, to whom Marx gave a copy of recorded songs he had written.
A year later Marx moved to Los Angeles and met with Richie and got his start singing background vocals for various artists.
Richard has gone on to sell more than 30 million albums and his second album was certified quadruple platinum. Billboard has ranked him of the "Greatest of all-time Hot 100 artists".
I'll be reacting to a performance of his hit "Hold On To The Nights". If you are not familiar with us other music, I highly encourage you to look him up.
I hope you enjoy the video and let me know what you thought!
Also be sure to check out this tune by the band Giant which I referenced in the reaction. They have a break in this song very similar to the one Richard Marx used.
