“What Child Is This?” is the newly released music video from Jonas Kaufmann’s holiday album, 'It’s Christmas - Gold Edition’ and was filmed in the Church of Saint Nicholas in Oberndorf with the Salzburg Chamber Soloists. The text for “What Child Is This?” was written by William Chatterton Dix, while the music of this traditional carol was arranged by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Ralph Greaves. “It’s Christmas! - Gold Edition” includes almost 50 holiday songs from around the world, including Silent Night, O Holy Night, Adeste Fideles, White Christmas, Let it Snow! and many more, plus a bonus CD of Jonas Kaufmann reading his favorite German Christmas poems and stories.
