We decided to have some fun with this one: The CARS - JUST WHAT I NEEDED!

The Cars - You're Just What I Needed - Tori Matthieu and Ken Tamplin

I'm not one for living in the past.

But I have to say, the 60s, 70s, and much of the 80s (from a creative-innovative standpoint) were so absolutely unique.

The Cars released their debut album in June 1978, reaching No. 18 on the Billboard 200. "Just What I Needed" was released as the debut single from the album, followed by "My Best Friend's Girl" and "Good Times Roll", all three charting on the Billboard Hot 100 (vocalist and bassist Benjamin Orr left us way too soon :-( ).

But to give you a flavor of what I'm talking about, here are the top 50 singles of this era. It will help you understand how incredibly diverse these bands were and how we enjoyed incredible creativity in this decade.
