How To Sing Like BRUCE DICKINSON - Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy

As the frontman to Iron Maiden, Bruce Dickinson became known for his wide vocal range and today I’ll be sharing with you How to Sing Like Bruce.

Bruce got his start singing in small bands in pubs in England before joining a new wave heavy metal band called Samson.

Three years later he joined Iron Maiden and after replacing previous lead singer Paul Di'Anno, Bruce immediately had a positive impact on the band as Iron Maiden went on to reach both gold and platinum status in the US and UK.

After leaving the band in 1993 to pursue a solo career, Bruce returned as the frontman in 1999, producing 5 more studio albums with the band.

Bruce also built a reputation on his many other pursuits outside of music which included airline pilot, entrepreneur, and broadcaster.

In this video, I’ll be looking at how Bruce used compression to achieve the incredible power, tone and range he had. I’ll be sharing with you a version I did of “Run To The Hills” along with my student Gabriela taking on “Trooper”.

I hope you all enjoy the video and please be sure to share your feedback in the comments!
