HOW TO SING LIKE AXL ROSE - Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy
Rolling Stone has named Axl Rose one of the greatest singers of all time and his voice is impossible not to recognize.
Today I’ll be showing you how to sing like Axl in a new series I’m doing called How To Sing Like. In this series we’ll look at the vocal qualities of the artists you’ve picked by request and I’ll break down how you can sing in their style while still maintaining your own unique interpretation.
While Axl likes to use a lot of nasality in his sound, I personally prefer a rounder, sound with more girth and I’ll show you how you can achieve the same.
I’ll be sharing a version I did of “Paradise City” along with some performances from KTVA students Kati Cher and Gabriela Gunčíková so you can see for yourself how to achieve the kind of range we demonstrate.
