All I Want To Do Is Make Love To You - cover - Kati Cher - Ken Tamplin
Though Ann Wilson has made no effort to hide her dislike for the song “All I Want To Do Is Make Love To You”, it played a big part in Heart’s second wave of success in the 90s.
Composed and produced by Mutt Lange, the song was originally done by singer Dobie Gray in 1979 with different lyrics.
Originally written for Don Henley, Ann has said the song stood for everything the band “wanted to get away from” but that they ended up doing it due to outside pressure.
Upon its release, the single spent 2 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 2, trailing only behind Madonna’s “Vogue”.
The song went on to be certified Gold and is the only Heart single to have done so while it also ended up being the band’s last pop chart top 10 hit.
The song was also covered live multiple times by Halestorm and the band even released a studio version of the tune.
Today Kati will have her go at the song and we hope you all enjoy her version of the tune. Please make sure to share what you thought of her performance in the comments!
