Kati Cher is the next KTVA student to have a go at the Heart classic “What About Love”, as she takes on the 80’s power ballad.
Sung by Ann Wilson, the tune was originally recorded by a Canadian band called Toronto, 2 years before Heart released it.
The song ended up not being released by Toronto and instead was offered to Heart by a music publishing company.
Heart went on to create a worldwide hit with the song as it also received considerable airplay on MTV.
Three years after it’s US release, it was re-released in the UK and ended up peaking at number 14 on the UK Singles Chart.
