"Given this life changing opportunity to make a music video for Ed Sheeran, I decided to take inspiration from Ed’s inspiration for “Autumn Variations”, and make this video for “Amazing” my most personal project, ever.

Shooting was over 5 days total, our scenes were mostly captured in the area I grew up (Georges River Council), where my parents still live. They actually ended up giving up their entire home for the duration of filming, and I somehow kept the entire process a secret from them. In fact, we cheated all interior scenes in the video to be shot in their house. It wasn’t until our final day of filming that I broke the news to them of who the video was for, and in front of the cast and crew, I dedicated the entire project to them.

What makes us human is the texture of imperfection. Struggle comes in many forms. Some of it is hidden, but sometimes we get to share these moments with a witness. As the third track on “Autumn Variations”, this video for “Amazing” carries the stories of 3 characters. I can’t help but feel uplifted by the hope this song carries, so despite the adversities, the determination within these 3 keeps them afloat.
