Boston’s “Peace Of Mind” was written by founder Tom Scholz in his basement before the band even had a record deal. 2 years later it was included on their debut album along with 4 other songs he had written at the same time.

Scholz wrote the lyrics based on his job working for Polaroid, describing his lack of interest in climbing the corporate ladder.
