Those of you that know of Aydin's playing will want to hear this. Those of you that don't need to check this out. This is an old cassette that I came across with Aydin Esen improvising over a C pedal tone to begin with but where he goes is beyond amazing. I still remember Aydin walking into my office at Ithaca College taking off his gloves and sitting down at the piano. It was about 10 degrees outside so it took him a second to get his fingers warmed up. The rest is history! Sorry there's no video. I recorded it with my cassette boom box so the quality is not the best. Check out the lines beginning at 3 minutes. It's beyond astounding.
