There is hardly a James Bond soundtrack that I don't like.

I love the theme of the ascending fourth chromatically going up and down the scale to create a very signature sound for the Bond franchise.

In fact, there are really only two franchises that have done this.

One is Mission Impossible and the other is James Bond.

Both have kept the integrity of that theme while morphing the chord progression and melodies over the decades. Both have maintained the original theme in such a way that it's always recognizable while being quite unique.

Here is a list of all 25 artists that have recorded the James Bond theme starting in 1962, a year before I was born:
