Vocal Coach Reacts To Ronnie James Dio Live Medley - Ken Tamplin

It doesn’t get better than the great Ronnie James Dio.

Dio’s career spanned over fifty years and he sold over 47 million albums.

His powerful, versatile range allowed him to sing hard rock songs just as well as he did lighter ballads.

Dio is credited with making the “metal horns” popular and his lyrics often took on a medieval theme.

As a child, he learned to play the trumpet and his father made him play 2 hours every day. Dio is reported to have said that he decided that he couldn’t pull girls playing the trumpet, so he taught himself how to play bass.

Growing up Ronnie also loved listening to opera as heavy metal hadn’t even been invented yet.

During Ronnie’s long spanning career he was the frontman for Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Dio, and Heaven & Hell.

I’m going to be reacting to a medley of one of his later performances. Let me know what you thought!
