Vocal Coach Reacts to Justin Timberlake | Chris Stapleton | Say Something | Live | Ken Tamplin

Often times artist collaborations from two very distinct genres can feel pretty unnatural but Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton make a solid duo.

The two artists first joined forces at the 2015 Country Music Association Awards, performing Stapleton’s "Tennessee Whiskey" and "Drink You Away”.

Stapleton was working with Timberlake writing songs on Justin's new album and was asked to sing on the track “Say Something” which Timberlake had written.

The catchy tune debuted at number 9 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was Justin’s 19th top 10 single since being a solo artist while it was Chris’ first.

The duo also put out a live version of the song that ended up being nominated for a Grammy.

I really enjoyed the performance and thought the production was great too. I’m looking forward to hearing what you guys thought so please share!

Also be sure to check out my student Tori Matthieu's version of the tune:

And here's a video I did of the licks from Stapleton's "Tennessee Whiskey":
