Vocal Coach Reacts To Elvis Presley Live - Can't Help Falling In Love With You - Ken Tamplin
Elvis was not only the King but he was an ICON.
He is the best-selling solo artist in the history of recorded music and he was commercially successful in multiple genres, including pop, country, blues, and gospel.
Elvis purchased his first guitar when he was just 11 years old. His mom had to convince him to choose the guitar over a rifle.
At 18, Elvis paid $4 to make his first record which he gave to his mom as a gift.
Both Elvis’ moves and his music were the subject of much controversy.
A Florida judge called Elvis "a savage" because he said that his music was "undermining the youth." When he was subsequently forbidden from shaking his body at a gig, he waggled his finger instead in protest.
In 1956, TV host Milton Berle asked Elvis to perform without his guitar, reportedly saying, "Let 'em see you, son." Elvis' gyrating hips caused outrage across the U.S. and within days he was nicknamed Elvis the Pelvis.
Elvis recorded more than 600 songs, and interestingly did not write any of them. I’ll be reacting to a classic “Can’t Help Falling In Love With You”.
