Vocal Coach Reaction To Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me - Ken Tamplin
Today’s reaction is to the English rock band Def Leppard. The band formed back in 1977 and at that time, Joe Elliot was ONLY 18 years old.
Their first concert was in 1978 in a high school gymnasium in their hometown of Sheffield, England. It’s said that only about six people went to it.
They’ve come along way from those early days, they’re now one of the world's best-selling music artists and have sold more than 100 million records worldwide!
The band’s big break came when they caught the attention of AC/DC producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange, who agreed to work on their second album, High 'n' Dry. Lange's meticulous approach in the studio helped them begin to define their sound.
They are one of only five rock bands with two original studio albums selling over 10 million copies in the U.S.
The song I’ll be reacting to is “Pour Some Sugar On Me”. It reached number 2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and was ranked #2 on VH1's "100 Greatest Songs of the 80s"
Check out their performance for this reaction and see if you can identify the vocal tracks, and as always let me know what you thought!
