I personally believe Chris Cornell was one of the most understated modern rock vocalists of his day.

While I know there were the Eddie Vedders, Layne Staleys, Scott Weilands, Kurt Cobains and many others in this era, for me personally, most of these vocalists were fairly one-dimensional, compared to Chris.

Not only did he sing incredible, powerful, gritty, high range, hard rock stuff, but he also sang songs like "Nothing Compares To You" (Sinéad O'Connor), "Stay With Me Baby" (Ruby Turner), "Ave Maria", "Billie Jean" (MJ), "All I Have To Do Is Dream" (Everly Brothers), "Drive My Car" (Beatles), "Get It While You Can" (Janis cover), ELO covers, Alice Cooper covers, and the list goes on and on...

Hardly a typical grunge/modern rock singer!

So Gabriela and I felt that "Outshined" was one of those songs that got somewhat overlooked and we wanted to "re-present" this song again, KTVA style.
