Shadows Of The Night | Pat Benatar | Xiomara Crystal | Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy

Today's performance by Xiomara is a Pat Benatar classic but the song "Shadows of The Night" was rejected multiple times before finding success with Pat.

Written and composed by D.L. Byron, the song was explicitly created for the movie Times Square. However it was rejected by Byron's label and left out of the movie because it was considered not "commercial enough".

Two years later Benatar released the song as the lead single off of her fourth studio album and the tune went on to earn her a Grammy for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance.

Benatar's version of the song went on to reach number 13 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number 3 on US Billboard Top Rock Tracks.

The song was also recorded by singer Helen Schneider who saw the song go Platinum 5 times in Germany.

We hope you all enjoy Ximoara's version of the tune and please make sure to share what you thought of her performance.
