Latto - Trust No Bitch (Live Performance) | Vevo LIFT

Latto doesn’t need a lotta time to leave a big impression. Exhibit #1 is how she powered through a name change a little while back - no easy feat for a rising artist. But once fans heard her flow over hip-hop’s latest interpolation of Tom Tom Club’s “Genius of Love” on “Big Energy,” all anyone cared about was what this brash Atlanta rapper had next in store. ‘777’ was the answer. Doubling down on the casino imagery, the lucky-number-13-track album feels like the only object capable of capturing Latto’s confidence and ambition. High rollers like 21 Savage, Childish Gambino, Kodak Black, and fellow speedy riser Nardo Wick throw their dice in her circle, too. It wasn't much of a gamble when we decided to make Latto our latest LIFT artist. We sent our crew to Atlanta, and chose a set location a couple miles from her Clayton County home turf. The three performances - "Stepper," "Sunshine," and "Trust No Bitch" - track the life cycle of a flower. In this finale, the camera pans from severed petals previously seen flourishing in "Sunshine." It's clear Latto doesn't shy from life's darker sides. She's here to tell the whole story, and it was great to help her tell it.
