I had quite a few requests from people, particularly on YouTube, asking me if I would do a reaction to Kate Bush and Wuthering Heights.

"Wuthering Heights" is a song inspired by the 1847 novel of the same name by Emily Brontë and it appears on Kate's 1978 debut album The Kick Inside.

Back in the day (and I mean this as no slam... or maybe I do), people actually wrote songs that were inspired by literary works of art.

Wuthering Heights is a classic of English literature, but contemporaneous reviews were polarized. It was controversial for its depictions of mental and physical cruelty, and for its challenges to Victorian morality and religious and societal values.

Kate actually wrote this song when she was only 18 years of age.

One of the things I find most interesting about the song is the unsettling, catchy, creepy, quirky nature of the melody, which actually emotes the emotion of what this song is about without even knowing the lyric and its backstory.

A true work of art which has earned her a slot as one of the great pop songs in pop music.

With that said, let's take a closer look at this amazing song and voice!
