It is with a heavy heart I am inspired to celebrate one of my all time favorite singers.

None other than Aretha Franklin.

She earned the title: "Queen Of Soul" for good reason.

I want to be very careful to not have this be sensationalistic or opportunist in any way.

This is a sincere eulogy to her as she was a massive inspiration to me as a vocalist.

So in her honor, and the honor of other soul singers, from Donny Hathaway, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Sam Cook, Al Green, Otis Redding, Whitney Houston and so many others, I would like to dedicate this session to what it means to have soul when we sing.
