In this month’s Examining, I wanted to look at the progression of the movie soundtrack and the movie tie-in song - from their beginnings with the invention of talking pictures, to their place in our music culture now. Also, it lets me finally talk about the Shark Tale version of Car Wash featuring Christina Aguilera and Missy Elliot - so it’s a win win!
