When it was released, there was some speculation surrounding whether or not Chris Cornell wrote the lyrics to “Like A Stone” in reference to Layne Staley’s death.

Cornell went on to deny the rumors but what other songs can you think of that also carried controversy as to what their actual meaning was? Let me know in the comments!

In this video I’m going to show you how to sing “Like A Stone” which just so happens to be one of Cornell’s easier songs to sing.

We’ll also look at the recording part and I’ll show you two different ways the track could be done to make it sound more effected or more intimate.
