The inspiration for the chord structure of “Plush” by Stone Temple Pilots, apparently came from bass player Robert DeLeo’s love of ragtime music.

I’m going to dive into Scott Weiland’s isolated vocals from “Plush” and I’ll talk about the different types of tones that he's using and how he got them.

I’ll also demonstrate how you can replicate that same sound by cutting back the air and adding a little distortion and we’ll practice it together so you can see how achievable taking on the tune is.
