I've got to be honest.

When grunge first hit, I did not understand it and I did not like it.

I did not resonate with bands like Nirvana.

I wasn't a fan of the singing, the "guitar hero" (lead guitar etc..) had vanished, melody had gone out the window and the songwriting seemed sub par to the 70's/80's which is what I grew up on.

That was until I heard Chris Cornell.

Chris always reminded me of an 80's metal singer disguised as a Seattle grunge singer (this seemed true for me for Lane Stayley to some degree as well).

Of Chris's greatest performances, such as Slaves & Bulldozers, Say Hello 2 Heaven, Spoonman, Fell On Black Days, Black Hole Sun, Burden In My Hand, Flutter Girl, Steel Rain, Like A Stone, You Know My Name, Before We Disappear, Kati and I thought it would be epic to see how a girl would do on Cochise!
