Vocal Coach Reacts To Ryan Tedder - One Republic - Counting Stars - Live At Pink Pop - Ken Tamplin

Ryan Tedder of One Republic got an early start in music learning to play the piano at age 3. His parents bribed him with candy corn to keep him interested.

At age 7 he took up singing and he claims he "sang for two hours a day every day of my life until I was 18."

At 21 he entered a singer-songwriter competition put on by *NSYNC's Lance Bass. He sang an original song and went on to win the talent search but never received the music contract that was supposed to be the prize.

Fortunately things still turned out fine for Ryan. He is most well known as the frontman to the band One Republic but in addition to being a talented singer and performer, he is also a very successful songwriter and producer.

His songwriting and producing credits include Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, Adele, Jennifer Lopez, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Leona Lewis, the Jonas Brothers, and Beyonce.

He has won 3 Grammy's both as an artist with One Republic and as producer.

In 2014, Billboard named him "The Undercover King of Pop" and featured him on the magazine's cover.

Today I'll be reacting to a One Republic performance of their hit "Counting Stars".
