Tyler Childers - The Making of 'In Your Love' (Vevo Footnotes)
The bold and beautiful "In Your Love" is from Childers' 'Rustin' In The Rain' album. Director Silas House says the singer and his team wanted to tell a story that had never been shared in a country music video released by a major label previously. The poignant tale portrays two queer coal miners in Appalachia in the 1950s facing harassment from co-workers. The couple, played by Colton Haynes and James Scully, move off to a farm together. "In Your Love" has been hailed by the LGBTQ+ community. As a gay teen who loved country music, House says he never dreamed he'd have a chance to tell this kind of story. Watch our Footnotes to learn more about their perspective, including the meaning of the quilt and the porch swing at the end.
