Taking a deeply personal look at Omar Apollo, this mini-doc is a peak into the process behind the making of his sophomore album, God Said No.
Born from the emotional wreckage that followed the end of a torrid love affair, the 14-track album is titled after something his friend said while processing the relationship. “I gave it my everything and God Said ‘no’.”
Building out the bones of the project during a 3 month stay in London with executive producer Teo Halm, the project was fine-tuned across studios in Los Angeles, New York City, and Miami towards the end of 2023.
