Rosa Linn wasn't quite sure she'd have a fighting chance of emerging from her home in Armenia to bring the world her music. But the young singer-songwriter kept plugging away, and that deeply attractive voice nudged her forward at every turn. A love of playing piano as a child morphed into a skill at penning tunes as a tween. By the time she was 13, she took her "Gitene" to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest - casting herself in broad arena was a great way to make a wider splash. At 18 she did leave Armenia behind, becoming an US exchange student with a stretch in Wisconsin. Her love of music and yen to share it never subsided, and it actually received a pat on the back when the Nvac Collective label released her first single, 2021's "King." Things really took off last year, though. Rosa jumped back into the Eurovision fray with "Snap." Its mediocre performance was offset by a viral explosion a few months later, when TikTok grabbed it and ran. In January, "Snap" became the second most-streamed Eurovision song ever. Linn says the song is about "mental health" as much as it is romance gone wrong. All we know is that it put her front and center on a global scale, becoming a doorway to other Linn gems. Hard not to swoon at “Snap.”
