In this episode of Everything Music we will explore how to write and arrange for full orchestra. I will do a detailed analysis of a cue from Toy Story 3 called "The Claw" that was written by Randy Newman and the orchestration by Jonathan Sacks. This is one of my favorite film scoring cues and it is one of the most exciting and powerful scenes in any movie for kids. I will explore all sections of the orchestra brass, strings, woodwinds and percussion through a series of mock ups I created for this episode.
