MAX - Stupid in Love. An exclusive performance for Vevo.

Evolution is a key ingredient to pop longevity, and it’s been fun watching MAX continue to add strands to his artistic DNA. The sharp singer made a huge splash in 2016 with “Lights Down Low,” a mid tempo ballad - notably sung entirely by himself - that racked up hundreds of millions of streams. But even on his debut album, ‘Hell’s Kitchen Angel,’ the New York native’s yen for collaboration was made apparent by features from Lil Uzi Vert and Hoodie Allen. Working with others is a gateway to new processes, perspectives, and worldviews, of course, and for MAX it’s been the key to staying fresh. 2020 saw the arrival of two projects: one was ’Neon From Now On’ released by Party Pupils, his house music side project with producer/DJ pal Ryan Siegler. The other was the pristinely-produced ‘Colour Vision.’ Here’s an incomplete list of artists credited on that record: the meme-rapper bbno$, indie pop darling Quinn XCX, rapper Joey Bada$$, and pop star Kim Petras. Diverse as can be. And that’s not to mention BTS member SUGA, whose “Blueberry Eyes” contribution was a huge crossover K-Pop hit. We've been keen to point our cameras at MAX over the last few years, in fact these performances of tracks from his new ‘LOVE IN STEREO’ album is his third session with Vevo. Fans seem to dig the stripped down vibe he typically brings, wherein the volume shifts down and the emphasis on his silky vocals and emotional lyrics ramps up. This third LP is already doing big numbers, by the way. “IT’S YOU,” which on the album features fellow Vevo fave keshi, has already crossed the 100 million stream rubicon on Spotify. The title track is hot too. Tap into these smooth jams, then take it to the MAX with the album.
