"La Valse" is an incredible sculpture, full of movement and angst and grace and sensuality. I forgot to mention that Debussy (a good friend, if not lover, of Camille) had a copy of this on his mantel. Jake, a huge admirer of Debussy, absolutely pulled from his amazing sound world in writing this cycle.
