Jasmine Thompson - No Poetry (live at the barn)

Show Description
Jasmine Thompson - No Poetry (live at the barn)
It's such a blessing to be able to turn grief into a song. Most of the time I can sing this with a smile on my face, but I do find it hard sometimes. I didn't want to let this take go to waste though. Thank you for the love and support and I'm glad that you are liking 'No Poetry' so far.

Jed said it best
Oh the sun will set
Only to rise again
I say it’s funny,
Though my eyes are wet
Somehow everything’s changed
But nothing I guess
The words escape me every time
There’s no perfect line
No poetry in dying
In my grief, I’ll laugh as much as cry
While life without you starts
Life without you starts
Tonight
Maybe I’ll stand in an empty field
Walk till the day makes sense
Maybe I’ll see now the windows clean
That there’s nothing to fear
But fear itself
The words escape me every time
There’s no perfect line
No poetry in dying
In my grief, I’ll laugh as much as cry
While life without you starts
Life without you starts
Tonight
It’s sad not beautiful
It’s flowers At a funeral
The words escape me every time
There’s no perfect line
No poetry in dying
In my dreams, I’ll laugh as much as cry
While life without you starts
Life without you starts
Tonight
