Says Laurie:

I often write songs about lessons I wish I had learned when I was little. One of those lessons is how much we all gain from being curious. Being curious opens doors. It helps us to understand other people better - and it helps us to learn about ourselves. It keeps us from having unnecessary and unintentional disagreements and it just generally makes life more fun! I wrote this simple song about curiosity (that is easy to sing all of the words to!) hoping that it will encourage the kids who hear it to become more curious about being curious themselves, and ultimately, bring them and the people around them, more happiness.
