Flo Milli’s brash beats have been shaking the walls of Vevo HQ for a while now. A bright spot in the cursed year of 2020 was capturing performances by the Alabama speaker-slammer, who we named a 2021 Artist to Watch. And we were right! Her ‘Ho, Why Is You Here?' debut was like the high schooler who’s popular in several circles, from the cool kids of TikTok, to the Power radio crew, to the club scene. Not bad for someone who had summarized her pre-breakout status as “depressed as fuck, no job, no car.” Last year Flo checked to see if she had any doubters left with ‘You Still Here, Ho?,’ a project highlighting more bangers, including “Conceited," which finds the 22-year-old at her Nicki Minaj-est. “Long-ass weave, flow down my back/I want a picture with a baseball bat/Hoes don’t like when I talk like that/Please, don’t bark, ’cause Milli bite back.” We recently built a new ctrl studio in LA, and those walls needed some christening. Here’s “Conceited” and "Bed Time” to shake you up a bit.
