That's Dasha synopsizing the recent viral explosion of her "Austin (Boots Stop Workin')”. After a handful of cool tracks gathering a respectable buzz and some decent Spotify streaming action, the singer exploded last fall. A beat, a groove, a sly vocal, a killer hook - all of a sudden, valuable tracks like "Olivia" and like "Love Me Till August" from her 'Dirty Blonde' album seemed to be signposts pointing to Dasha's high-vis success. The fact that the sped up and slowed down versions of "Austin" gave the country line dance community a lot to be happy about goosed the action back in March. And Dasha’s been rockin’ ever since. The NoCal native sang in coffee shops at age 10 and got to record some stuff as a teen thanks to a dad’s gift of studio time. Music was in her blood from there on, and she left Nashville’s Belmont University to work it full time. Initially she was slanting pop but had a yen for country.
