Check out my new cover of Linkin Park’s “Numb.”

I received quite a few requests for this piece.

I demonstrate how Chester Bennington smoothly transitions from a small, gentle lyric tenor approach in the verses to a growling lion in the choruses. This is actually quite a feat for a lyric tenor since lyric tenors usually have a light gentle timbre.

Notice how the vowels stay small in order to accomplish this.

Also notice that in many cases, lyrics tenors (like Paul McCartney) use little or no vibrato.
