In the third episode of “Can’t Just Preach,” Efrén Olivares shows how he is making a difference Texas. As the Racial and Economic Justice Program Director for the Texas Civil Rights Project, Olivares and his team handle a variety of human rights and civil cases in state and federal courts in Texas. These cases include equal protection, disability rights, and freedom of speech claims. Olivares and the TCRP also partner with community organizations to raise awareness about constitutional rights and freedom from discrimination.
