My new album, Superhero, has gotten me thinking about ways that everyday people are Superheroes. There are lots of opportunities for small acts of kindness to create a Super impact in the world, and I want to create something that brings people together through those acts.

I've had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful kids in my 20+ years of being a children's musician, and time and again I meet kids who face big challenges, from illnesses to disabilities to developmental delays. These kids inspire me so much in their bravery, strength, and their passion to be the best they can be. I've also gotten to see the unique way that my music plays a role in many children's lives: it can be a motivator, a comfort, a means of communication, or simply a break from a difficult day. I receive requests from people all over the country to come play my concerts at their hospitals and special needs schools and to meet the kids who have been touched by my music.

That's why I've decided to produce 5 concerts for children in hospitals or special needs schools in 2017.

Normally, when we put on a concert, ticket sales cover the costs to produce the show. For these shows, where of course we aren’t selling tickets, we’re asking for YOUR help to underwrite the expenses for these fully-produced concerts. I will be donating my performances, and your pledges will go to producing the show.
